Marie Manzo, a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to the field of psychology, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024. She was a shining example of kindness and strength, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Marie's journey in psychology was marked by unwavering commitment and passion. Specializing in the prevention of violence against women and the treatment of domestic violence victims. She made a profound impact through her work with various organizations. As an integral member of the Pottstown SAFE Project – Domestic Violence Project, National Organization for Women, and PA Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Marie fought tirelessly for the rights and well-being of those in need. Her role as Co-Founder of the Stop Abuse Foster Empowerment Treatment Program for Male Batterers showcased her dedication to creating a safer world for all.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Marie extended her support to law enforcement, aiding in the resolution of challenging cases. Her compassion knew no bounds as she provided services to not only her patients but also to police, firefighters, and the surviving victims of 9/11. Her impact reverberated far and wide, touching the lives of many with her kindness and expertise.

Marie's educational journey was a testament to her thirst for knowledge and growth. Graduating from West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Psychology from Stockton University in 1979 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in 1983. Her pursuit of excellence led her to participate in a psychology program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, further honing her skills and understanding in the field she was so passionate about.

Outside of her professional life, Marie found joy in simple pleasures. An avid animal lover, especially when it came to her beloved Rottweiler dogs and horses, she found solace and companionship in their presence. Her love for the arts, music, and creative writing reflected her vibrant spirit and appreciation for beauty in all its forms.

Marie Grace Manzo (née Giannone) leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by many cousins and dear friends who were touched by her warmth and wisdom. As we bid farewell to Marie, we honor her remarkable legacy and the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
